I go to the ocean to calm down, to reconnect with the Creator, to just be happy~Nnedi Okorafor

Let me introduce myself. My name is Cori. I am the proud owner and operator of Schrader Meetings & Events. I design, plan and execute conferences and meetings around the globe. Along with that, I am a published knitwear designer. I have my patterns on Ravlery and Etsy. I love #yarn. I love #knitting. I love creating. As an event planner, I travel a lot and mostly internationally. The downtime on the planes allow me ample knitting time!

This is one of my latest patterns, Blue Ocean. This beauty is knitted out of Shibui's Silk Cloud and Maai held together to create the squishy, glorious sweater. I love Shibui. Their yarn is glorious with such unique colors. When designing a unique sweater, I knew it needed unique yarn.

I designed this to be knitted from the front band, to the back band, seamed up the sides with sleeves added by picking up and knitting in the round. The cowl is also picked up and knitted in the round. I used brioche for the ribbing to give the sweater that extra squish factor. I used large needles, not only to give it drape, but to be a quick knit.

This pattern is available for purchase on #Ravelry and #Etsy.

More on the Horrizon

I have some new patterns in the works. One is currently in the test knit phase:

The Dragon's Scale

This is a new pattern I am currently in test knit for. The Dragon's Scale, wrist warmers knitted out of 2 strands of Shibui's Luna held together.

More to come. Be sure to stay tuned.
