Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of fear.~ George Addair
I know I am a little late to blogging about the new year and new resolutions and such. In 2019, I decided to call my resolutions goals, instead of resolutions. I tend to fail at those. So instead, I have decided to set goals for myself for 2019. Goals I can do. I am an event planner. I get goal setting and obtaining.
My goals:
1. Getting healthier physically, mentally and spiritually.
2. Getting pregnant. I would like to see this one happen this year. But I am ok if it is 2020 also.
3. Moving. My husband and I do not have any immediate family in the area. We would like to move to San Diego to be closer to my parents (for the baby) and a bit closer to his parents as they are in Arizona.
4. Grow our businesses. We have 3 businesses! The event business that the hubs and I share, his photography businesses and my online store for accessories and patterns.
5. Design more knitting patterns!
6. Knit more for myself. I knit a lot. I knit a lot for other people. I miss knitting for myself.
7. Financial freedom
As I typed out my goals for 2019, I realized a lot of these are about me...making a better and healthier me. And you know what, for a long time, I have not focused on me. 2018 was a difficult year for my husband and I. We had so many deaths that year, it was insane. It was filled with grief, sickness, heartache, stress...I could go on, but this is a new year.
So as we look to 2019, we look forward to some great things! The above list for one. Another wonderful thing happening this year is my cousin's wedding. She had asked me to be a bridesmaid. I am so honored and excited to be a part of this wonderful event!
I have new accessory items planned. I have new knitting patterns in my head. I have new ideas for our event business. 2019 will have its hardships, but it will also have its joy too. And I am choosing Joy this year. This year I will be choosing to overcome my fears and go for it. Growth. Prosperity. New beginnings. I am excited for what this year has in store.
Happy New Year!
